I am a physicist and astronomer, whose research is in the field of stellar atmospheres and circumstellar matter.

I got my bachelor’s degree in Physics in 1973 from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, my master’s degree in physics in 1976 from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and my PhD degree in Astrophysical Sciences in 1990 from Princeton University. I was a visiting scholar in the University of Kentucky and a postdoctoral fellow in Indiana University. I have also a rich experience in teaching  of a large variety of courses in physics and astronomy. I joined ORT Braude college in 1991, where I have taught since. I have also taught courses of physics and astronomy in Haifa University and in the University of Rochester (NY).

Currently I am working on extending a code that I wrote in the past for dynamics of radiation pressure driven stellar winds for the case of stellar outflows. In parallel I am in the process of writing a textbook in college physics, with an innovative approach.
